The Ducket, Outchester, Northumberland, UK (Aerial Video)
What a weekend it was. A quirk holiday let, near the Northumberland coast. We booked the Ducket for a weekend stay in October and it's such a unique building that has been restored with no expense spared. After you've watched my aerial video (above), feel free to click the link below to view my photographs I took inside the Ducket.
The Ducket, a 65 feet high tower, is located in its own grounds on Outchester Farm, about half-a-mile from Budle Bay. Built sometime in the 18th century, it stands like a watchtower over the Northumbrian Coast as if guarding the approach to Holy Island. Restored in 2009, this 18th century Grade 2 listed dovecote now has 21st century facilities, such as ground source heating and Wi-Fi, and offers unique self-catering holiday cottage accommodation for a couple visiting Northumberland.

I flew my Mavic Air drone over the Ducket and around the grounds, shortly before we packed up and departed on the following Monday morning. A short flight, but one that takes you up close, giving you another perspective of this unique building. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a vacation like no other. An unforgettable weekend. The Northern Lights topped off a fantastic weekend with a display that was incredible to watch, from within the grounds of the Ducket.
