Egglestone Abbey, County Durham, England

Heading right back to when I first bought a drone and I was taking my first steps in the world of aerial video. It was very much a cautious flight, as you'll see in the video, but nevertheless, it was great to dip my feet into a completely new perspective of photography.

Egglestone Abbey is a ruined Premonstratensian abbey on the southern bank of the River Tees, in northern England, 1 and a 1⁄2 miles south-east of Barnard Castle. The abbey was historically within the North Riding of Yorkshire, but since 1974 has been in County Durham.

Autumn presented an ideal opportunity to capture a birds eye view of Egglestone Abbey and its surrounding landscape. The trees were in full autumn colour on the banks of the River Tees, which made the scene that extra bit of special.
