You could be forgiven for thinking these shots were captured from the photographers pit, when you consider how close I was to the action, Alas no, they were captured from a decent vantage point near the front of house, with a compact digital camera. The band was in fine form on each occasion, with front man Jim Kerr's stage presence playing a big part in the overall enjoyment. First and foremost - the music...

Even if you aren't a big fan of Simple Minds, you have to admire the fact that, although there have been several changes in band personnel, they have more than outstayed their welcome, as they currently rack up more than 40 years of making music. Along with the studio recordings come the tours and there has been many of those down the years, including UK, European, Asian, American and world tours. Simple Minds still have a big following and that was evident to see at the venues listed above. The crowd lapped it up and the musicianship was tight and on point throughout.
