Hello once again and welcome to another blog entry here at ashleycorr.com
Yeah, that's 3 blog entries so far this week! There must be something in the water, ha. You've never had it good, eh. Well the last day or two has seen me working a day shift at the Nissan Car Plant (Washington, Tyne & Wear) then home, tea, bath, etc...followed by an hour or so building more of my new website. I'm currently getting to grips with the blog page and its layout, design, etc...hence the sudden upturn in blog entries. The aim is to post half a dozen entries to fill the template I've designed, then that way I can see exactly how it all fits onto the main blog page. I'll tweak it here and there until it looks exactly how I want it to, then I'll move on and design another page that appears on the main header menu bar. Once they're all boxed off, I'll get back to filling my gallery pages, and that's gonna consume lots of hours of my spare time, as there's dozens of galleries to add to my portfolio. I'm looking forward to it though. It's a body of work that I'm very proud of and I can't wait to get it published online, once again. My old site is still active until I upload enough content to my new site, then it will be ready to go. I'll simply add more galleries when time permits.
Now is probably a good time to give you all a sneak preview of my 2022 'North of England' wall calendar. This is the 3rd year running that I've produced a calendar of land & seascape images.
12 images, all scenes were captured in the North of England and feature the following locations...
JANUARY - Roker Pier, Sunderland
FEBRUARY - Mute Swans, Herrington Park, Sunderland
MARCH - Staithes, North Yorkshire
APRIL - Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland
MAY - Buttermere, Lake District
JUNE - Penshaw Monument, Sunderland (also on front cover)
JULY - 199 Steps, Whitby, North Yorkshire
AUGUST - Egton Moore, North Yorkshire
SEPTEMBER - Gateshead Quays
OCTOBER - Rydal Grotto, Lake District
NOVEMBER - Tommy Statue, Seaham Harbour
DECEMBER - Durham Castle
The final proof of the calendar was subitted to the printer last week, so I expect to take delivery of 300 copies next week (30th September, 2021). The majority of them will be available to buy at Penshaw Tea Rooms and Clay's Garden Centre (see links below), with a limited quantity available to purchase online or by contacting me via email at sales@ashleycorr.com.
The calendar is A4 size when closed and expands to A3 (portrait format) when opened. It will retail at £10 per copy and postage/packing (if required) will be an extra £2.50 for UK customers. All overseas customers will need to contact me directly for an international postage quote. Delivery turnaround for UK based customers is 1-4 days.
The calendars are printed on 270g/sm silk media and are shrink wrapped. Don't hesitate to contact me to reserve a copy (or copies), while stocks last. Once they're gone...well....THEY'RE GONE!!
And that's all for now. I'll be back again shortly. It's time to fill a couple of hours on my new site. Until next time...be good!
Ash
